Sequenced Nitrogen Lasers

Overview

Design and fabrication of sequenced nitrogen lasers for plasma fusion studies. These gas discharge lasers operate in the ultraviolet range and are used as diagnostic and pumping sources in plasma experiments.

The sequencing capability enables multi-shot, time-resolved investigations of plasma dynamics and fusion phenomena.

    Abstract

A sequenced nitrogen laser system operating in the ultraviolet (337.1 nm) has been designed and fabricated for time-resolved plasma diagnostics. The sequencing capability enables multi-shot experiments with precise temporal control between pulses.

    Key Results

Each laser module produces pulses of duration ~5 ns with energies of 1-5 mJ. The sequencing system achieves inter-pulse timing accuracy better than 100 ns, enabling pump-probe experiments in plasma fusion studies.
