Physics Education Work
Professor Shishodia has been active in the field of physics education since the early 1970s. Under the University Leadership and Centre for Development of Physics Education, he was actively involved in design, development and measurement of innovative experiments in mechanical, electrical and nuclear systems. Notable projects include:
- Ultra low frequency oscillator
- Lucite air track
- Mechanical high Q pendulum systems
- Novel technique using Lissajou’s figures for study of mechanical resonance
Computer Education & Curriculum Development
As Director of Computer Centre at the University of Rajasthan, Professor Shishodia initiated and sustained Certificate, Post-Graduate Diploma, MCA, MCA(Evening), M.Sc(IT) and B.Sc(Computer Science) courses at the University of Rajasthan and affiliated institutions. He also initiated the Ph.D. program in Computer Science at the university. At Jagan Nath University, where he served as Pro-Vice-Chancellor, he guided research work in computer science, electrical, mechanical and cloud computing.
